While rare, combining psilocybin with SSRIs, MAOIs, or MDMA can increase serotonin to unsafe levels — a condition known as serotonin syndrome.
Symptoms include:
- Rapid heart rate
- Sweating, fever
- Tremors or muscle stiffness
- Confusion or agitation
If you suspect serotonin syndrome, seek medical attention immediately.
Never combine psilocybin with prescription antidepressants or other serotonergic drugs without medical clearance.
