Een klein tabletje en 5 minuten later, een flinke flush, opvlieger. Rood gezicht,hals,armen,enz. Eerste 5 dagen niet prettig te noemen, maar dat vermindert en wat je er voor terug krijgt is zeer fijn te noemen: Meer energie, warme handen en voeten, mooie zachte huid, vermindering van [spanning in het hoofd], dit al na gebruik van 2 weken 3x per dag een tablet van 100 mg. Dus zeker de moeite waard.
Niacin has greatly improved my life. My depressive thoughts disappeared from the start (500mg a day now for 2 weeks, now going up to 1000mg a day). My girlfriend has also been taking it, and we’ve both been in a greater mood (she’s also depressive). Suicidal thoughts are rare now. I no longer flush.
I recently watched the movie Food Matters and learned that Niacin could be used to treat depression and alcoholism in addition to high cholesterol. I began taking it last week and have noticed a gradual improvement in my mood as I increase the dosage. Make sure you start low and increase gradually, though: the first time I took it, I took 100mg with a light snack and ended up stripping down and standing in my kitchen painting, but there were no lasting negative effects.
This niacin seems like a magical drug, and the best part is it’s not a drug…it’s a vitamin!!!
It helps me with sleep. I now take the same brand, but 500mg helps me tremendously and helps me wean off my sleep med! Won’t go without Niacin.

I am using niacin to help lower triglycerides and bad cholesterol. I will report back in a couple of months with bloodwork results from my doc. For most supplements, you hope to do something when you take them. You can feel these getting to work!

I had slightly elevated cholesterol but didn’t want to take statins. My PCP recommended 1200mg of niacin (yes, the nasty full-flush kind, the flush does lessen with time). For years I have suffered from depression. Antidepressants made me feel worse. That dark, heavy cloud on my brain just went away by the second day of taking niacin.

Ik vind het jammer dat de twee onderstaande reageerders dit product 1 ster geven. Dit is gewoon onzinnige beoordeling want niacin heeft altijd een flush. Wanneer je geen flush wilde had je maar de non-flush moeten kopen. Dit product is gewoon van perfecte kwaliteit en een aanrader!

een flush bij gebruik van niacin is normaal en vind ik zelf niet echt onaangenaam. Kan me voorstellen dat iemand er van schrikt als je het niet verwacht. Is in elk geval niet schadelijk of zo. Overigens hangt de sterkte van de flush nogal af van de maaginhoud; vlak na de maaltijd merk ik niet veel. Maar je gebruikt het niet vanwege de flush, voor de rest is het een prima product voor zover ik dat beoordelen kan….. Een overdosering van 15 x (1500mg per dag)lijkt me wel een beetje erg veel trouwens
Ik had last van een ongename flush, het voelde alsof ik erg verbrand was door de zon. Het is beter om een half uur van te voren een paracetamol in te nemen, die de bijwerkingen van de flush remt.
Ik gebruik niacine dagelijks voor de aanvulling van vitamine B3. Bevalt me goed. Goede en snelle levering.
