Paul Stamets has proposed that combining these components may offer an interesting approach to microdosing.
However, claims sometimes repeated online about the Stack should not automatically be treated as established scientific facts.
For example, it has not been clinically demonstrated that niacin transports psilocybin or Lion’s Mane into the brain or increases their absorption across the blood-brain barrier.
Likewise, the complete Stack has not been clinically demonstrated to regenerate neurons or produce long-term cognitive enhancement.

Psilocybin and Neuroplasticity Research
Psilocybin is converted into psilocin after consumption.

Why Is Niacin Included in the Paul Stamets Stack?
The third component is niacin, or Vitamin B3.
The Stamets method specifically uses nicotinic acid, commonly called flush niacin.
Nicotinic acid can cause temporary widening of peripheral blood vessels and the characteristic niacin flush.
Stamets has proposed a role for this effect within his overall stacking concept.

I began using the Paul Stamets Formula almost 4 weeks ago, to help with menapause and migrain. The first week, I followed Paul’s protocol, 4 days on, using from 0.5g to 1g per day, and 3 days off. I felt instantly amazing, so happy and energetic. The only thing, I didn’t have brilliant sleeps. I am a nurse, and I only work night shifts, so it was probably just a combination of that mixed with the microdosing. So, after taking the 3 days off, and doing some further research, I found some advice from researchers who regularly microdose. I began taking the formula one day on, one day off, for 20 days. This was better for me I feel, as I was able to sleep better. Anyway, I am just over the moon with the experience so far. My headaches have improved, my skin and hair is glowing, and I just feel a general sense of well being. And, Microdose Bros are always available for advice, and to answer any questions I send their way. Seriously, the service is excellent.
So, I am taking 10 days off microdosing, and will begin the same routine, as in one day on, one day off, for 20 days with 10 days off for a reboot, but I got some Galindoi truffles to try out, freshly harvested, so I will try some macrodosing at the weekend. Very excited.
